THE BIGGEST GREEK
FLAG EVER MADE |

The Greek flag, the blue& white
one, has gained its own record. Thanks to the "RANIA" Z.Chrisochoou
company, the biggest Greek flag has been created. Its dimensions are
17,46m x 27,52m, that is 480,49m2 , and weighs 130Kgr. The particular flag is bigger by 200m2 than that of Brazil which used to hold the record for the world's biggest flag until recently. In this picture we can see it waving over the city of Didimoticho, at a height of 53m, next to the city's church whereas Turkey can also be seen in the background. Its hanging was made possible through the means of a special crane, on May 24th 1998. It remained there for 24 hours, during the celebrating manifestation of "FREEDOM 98". 260 |
